NEW AND CONTINUING GROUP KEYBOARD/PIANO CLASSES STARTING FALL 2012

Children learn to play the piano in a fun, interactive group environment. Emphasis is on learning to read music, basic music theory, playing fun/familiar songs, and learning how to compose and improvise. Each child has their own composition/improvisation notebook. The group setting enables children to learn from one another. Practicing becomes fun, and children motivate and inspire one another. A playful environment is created in a structured setting.

This class is intended as an introductory program – establishing the inspiration and love for playing the piano in a fun, creative environment.

Each child has their individual keyboard during lesson time. Families will need to either have a piano or keyboard at home on which to practice. Classes meet once weekly for one hour with fall, winter/spring sessions available. Summer sessions will be improvisation/composition workshops only. Please contact Jane for summer improvisation/composition schedules. Class size is limited to six children and meet once weekly for one hour
